Privacy Policy

What we collect

Preferences you choose (break length, theme, context, visual mode) are stored in a cookie on your device when you change them, so your next visit can restore your choices. We do not receive those on our servers unless you contact us separately.

If Google Analytics is enabled, we use it to collect anonymous usage data — pages visited, session events such as starting or finishing a break, and general device or browser information. See Google's privacy policy for how they process analytics data.

Anonymous break and feedback data

If you finish a break, we increment an anonymous site-wide counter and log one anonymous row per completion. Each row may include: break length, context category, colour theme, visual shape (orb or blob), and approximate location derived from your connection at that moment.

Approximate location means country, and when available city, region or state, and timezone. We use your IP address only during the request to infer that location via our hosting provider's edge network. We do not store your IP address in our database.

Optional feedback may include a star rating, written suggestion, and email address only if you choose to leave one so we can reply. Feedback is stored with the same anonymous break details and location fields. We do not require an account or profile.

None of this is linked to your name, account, or identity unless you voluntarily include an email in feedback. We use this data to improve the product and understand aggregate usage — not to profile or market to you as an individual.

What we do not collect

We do not require your name, email, phone number, or payment details to use the free break experience.

We do not store your IP address in our analytics database. We do not track you across other websites.

We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising networks on this site.

We do not treat anonymous usage or location data as personal data for the core break experience. If you optionally leave an email in feedback, we use it only to respond to that message.

Cookies and local storage

The app stores your settings in a cookie when you change them. Analytics may set additional cookies if you have not blocked them in your browser.

You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies may limit our ability to improve the product.

Hosting logs

Standard server logs from our hosting provider may include IP address, user agent, and request time. We use these for security and reliability, not to identify you personally or build profiles.

Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
